Dr. Vin Gupta is a prominent American physician and public health expert who operates at the intersection of healthcare, innovation, and communications. He brings a multidisciplinary background as a practicing pulmonologist with 10+ years of military service in the U.S. Air Force Reserve (retired).

His pandemic preparedness work spans the CDC, the World Bank, China CDC, and the Pentagon. He has authored 25+ first-author publications in The Lancet, NEJM, and BMJ, focused on pandemic response, health equity, and global respiratory disease.

From Amazon to Manatt

Vin was recruited to Amazon, where he worked for over five years building new clinical and pharmacy initiatives. He now serves as Managing Director of Health Innovation at Manatt, advising clients across the healthcare ecosystem on policy, technology, and equity.

Vin serves as a medical analyst for NBC News Media Group, contributing across NBC News, MSNBC, and CNBC. He earned his BA at Princeton, MD at Columbia, MPA at Harvard Kennedy School, and a Master in International Relations at Cambridge. He trained at Brigham & Women's Hospital, is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and serves on the national board of the American Lung Association.
